Wriddhiman Saha is one of those unluckiest cricketers in the Indian Cricket, who never got the perfect run in the Indian National Cricket Team. Either the presence of MS Dhoni or the injury at the peak time of his career, always seen him staying away from the national circuit. Meanwhile, he is done with his rehab period and was included in the 15-member Bengal side for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy 2019.

I never played cricket thinking about selection: Wriddhiman Saha

Its been almost 9 months for the wicketkeeper-batsman participating in a professional game. Speaking of the same, Saha quoted that he wants to take the game like playing after a small break. He is hopeful of performing well for the team in the most-followed domestic tournaments in India.

“I’m approaching the tournament as just like returning from a normal break. It’s like the start of the season for me,” Saha said of his comeback.

In between, Rishabh Pant raised his graph like none other in the Test format of the game. He knocked centuries in England and Australian soils, which certainly cemented his position in the side. When asked about his thoughts on it, Saha quoted that he isn’t thinking about selection, as it is not in his hands.

“I’ve never played cricket thinking about selection. It’s not in my hands. I’m focused on what is in my control and that is my performance. I’m keen to make full use of the opportunities that come my way,” the 34-year-old said as per Cricketcountry.com
