Australia’s former Chinaman, Brad Hogg has thrown light on the difference between Sachin Tendulkar’s battle with legendary Glenn McGrath and speedster Shoaib Akhtar. Sachin Tendulkar is arguably the best player ever to grace the field of cricket. On the other hand, both, Akhtar and McGrath have been legendary fast bowlers and certainly one of the best bowlers in the history of international cricket.

All the three cricketers were part of the same era and when they faced each other on the cricket field, the battle was none less than a cricketing masterpiece. With no cricketing action taking place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, cricketers and teams are spending quite a lot of time on social media.

Both McGrath and Akhtar Have Acknowledged Sachin’s Greatness

Although Glenn McGrath and Shoab Akhtar were legendary fast bowlers, they knew the stature Sachin Tendulkar holds and both have showered words of praise for the ‘Little Master‘ in the past.

“The joy he brings to the millions of his countrymen, the grace with which he handles all the adulation and the expectations and his innate humility – all make for a one-in-a-billion individual,” Glenn McGrath once said.

“Sachin made me a star! So I’m thankful to him. He’s a great batsman, without a doubt. He can play better than anyone else. When he got going, he was a nightmare. Sachin was a brutal force. When he got going, he made sure he scored runs,” Akhtar said.
