South African batsman Cameron Delport dedicated his brilliant century for Leicestershire in the ongoing County Championship to his mother.

In the latest video released by the Leicestershire official Twitter handle, Delport can be seen celebrating after making registering his fine century.

Sharing the video he gave a cute caption. “For you Mom,” it read.

It was a sensational knock of 122 runs from the blade of Delport as Leicestershire chased down the target of 241 set by Durham with utmost ease in the end.

Delport’s knock of 122 came off 128 deliveries and was studded with 16 fours and a couple of sixes. There were some lusty blows struck by the hard-hitting batsman. During an exhibition, Delport played wonderful strokes combined with touch.

Colin Ackerman also played a good knock which eventually ensured Leicestershire to clinch the match by five wickets and with 34 deliveries to spare.

Earlier in the day, it was some impressive bowling by the hosts which bowled out Durham for just 240 runs in the penultimate over. Delport is definitely an impact batsman who has the ability to decimate any bowling line-up on his day.

Due to his power-hitting abilities, Delport has become a permanent feature in several Twenty20 teams all across the globe. The IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bought Delport during the two-day long mega-auctions.

However, Delport failed to make the playing XI and warmed the benches all through the tournament. He would have definitely wanted a game at least. However, it wasn’t to be as KKR preferred to go with their winning combination.

The knock of his life:

The southpaw Cameron Delport scored a blistering 109 off just 59 deliveries. It helped Leicestershire qualify for the Quarterfinals of the Natwest T20 blast in 2017.

It was a special knock which came against Nottinghamshire. There is no doubt about the fact he has an abundance of talent.

However, making the national cut is still not yet on the radar. With the retirement of AB de Villiers, Delport will definitely look to break into the national team in the foreseeable future.
