Chandigarh vs Arunachal Pradesh: Kashvee Gautam Bags All 10 Wickets In Under-19 Game

Women’s Under-19 One-day Trophy between Chandigarh and Arunachal Pradesh at KSRM College Ground, Kadapa went into the history book as Chandigarh Women’s Under-19 captain Kashvee Gautam had snared all 10 wickets in the match.

Kashvee returned with the remarkable figures of 10 for 12 in her 4.5 overs. Before impressing with her bowling expertise, Kashvee scoring 49 off 68 balls, which helped Chandigarh post 186 for four in stipulated 50 overs.

Defending a modest total of 186 runs, Kashvee began the attack with the new ball and picked up two wickets in her first over. Both the players failed to get off the mark.

In her second over, she added three more wickets to her tally, thus completing her five-wicket haul.

Interestingly, all three wickets fell on the last three balls of the over.

Later, she bagged a couple more to have seven wickets to her name in the first three overs. The effort further became a history to cherish, as she finished the game with three wickets in 9th over of the innings, which handed a massive 161-run victory for Chandigarh.

Eight members of Arunachal Pradesh registered duck while four of them registered golden duck. Only one player managed to score a double-digit number while the eight extras given by the bowling unit is the second top contribution for Arunachal Pradesh.

So far in the International cricket, only two players have managed to achieve the record of picking 10 wickets.

The leg-spinner Anil Kumble of India and the off-spinner of England Jim Laker are the only two persons to register.

Kashvee has been on fire throughout the tournament. Gautam took six wickets against Bihar in the first match and improved her match figures by scalping seven wickets in the next match against Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).

The promising bowler Kashvee will next be in the action when Chandigarh face Pondicherry on February 28th.
