Speculations are rife over the future of MS Dhoni in international cricket as well as in the Indian Premier League (IPL). At 39, MS Dhoni is not getting any younger and the recent turned of events have only fuelled the speculations regarding his future.

The former India skipper has not played a single competitive game since the World Cup semifinal in July last year. As soon as the tournament ended, he took a sabbatical from the game which would have ended in March in the IPL. However, the tournament was postponed in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

MS Dhoni will finally make his much-awaited return to the cricket field next month when the IPL takes place in UAE. But there is still little clarity over his future especially in international cricket.
