This league is a new chapter for Afghanistan – Atif Mashal

Meanwhile, the chairman of Afghanistan Cricket Board, Atif Mashal added they are thinking to launch the Afghanistan Premier League for a long time now. However, it finally came into existence in 2018.

“We planned this tournament last year. However, today we have taken this important step. This league is a new chapter in the history of Afghan cricket that will benefit all major stakeholders. Players will be able to play competitive cricket. Youngsters will be able to learn from some of the legends of the game. Success has no boundaries and with APL, we are taking our cricket beyond borders.

However, it would be interesting to see how things would pan out for Afghanistan. Presumably, Afghanistan Premier League 2018 might give good returns as T20 franchise cricket is a red-hot entertainment for cricket fanatics.
