Colin Munro, Lockie Ferguson To Be Part Of T20I Practice Game Facing England

Ahead of the official series, the England Cricket team set to lock horns with New Zealand XI In a couple of practice games. For the same, the respective New Zealand board has included out-of-form Colin Munro alongside Lockie Ferguson, who is returning from the game after recovering from the injury.

The other notable player to be named in the squad is Tim Seifert, who will be doing the wicket-keeping role. The Knights all-rounder AntonDevcich, who played a lot of cricket in recent years has also been included in the side to test his skills against a national team.

Meanwhile,  Central Stags player Josh Clarkson also finds a place in the side alongside the young all-rounder Christian Leopard. The squad is dominated by Knights’ players. As many as 6 players found a place from Knights team. Joining Devcich, Katene Clarke named in the side.

“The thumb has healed well and I’m looking forward to having a hit-out at Lincoln. While it’s obviously frustrating to be side-lined, it’s actually been good to take some time to freshen up and be able to return with plenty of motivation and energy.

“It’s the beginning of a really big summer of cricket and it’s exciting to be starting it against a quality England side,” Lockie Ferguson said.

The other notable domestic players are Jake Gibson, Brett Hampton and Anurag Verma named in the squad while their match-winner Tim Seifert will also present during the series. The quality all-rounder Anaru Kitchen and the stylish batsman Blake Coburn will be eager to perform.

The New Zealand XI will take on England in two T20 warm-ups at Bert Sutcliffe Oval on October 27 and 29 starting at 1 pm each day with live-scoring at nzc.nz.
