The coronavirus pandemic has brought the world to a standstill. For England fast bowler Liam Plunkett it is worse as his wife is far away from him. However, he knows how to deal with the situation, but does not wants to do it for too long.
Amid the coronavirus outbreak, Mark Wood came up with a funny dance video, and challenged Plunkett with the same. The seamer also opened up about the same in an interview to evening standard.
It’s me, myself and I here: Liam Plunkett
Plunkett was of the opinion that teammaate Wood is putting the pressure on him to pull off the video. But he is also sure that there no way he’s doing it. He was also shocked on seeing himself being nominated for it.
“It’s me, myself and I here,” says Plunkett. “He [Wood] put the pressure on. I said, ‘There’s no way I’m doing what you did… why have you nominated me for this? Give me a press-up challenge or something like that!’”
Would love to be with her: Liam Plunkett
In this situation, everyone would love to spent time with their loved ones and know them better. Plunkett is no stranger to that. Though, he is unsure when will he see his wife again, he is at home, hoping for the best.
“I’d love to be with her,” he said. “We are used to this situation. When someone takes something away from you, you want it more. We know we won’t see each other for a while, we don’t know when we are going to be able to travel to one another. That’s the unknown. It could be six months or longer. You think the worst, hope for the best.”
“What’s going on is shocking, but what can I get out of me being alone?” he asks.
