Yet another thriller took place in CPL 2018 playoffs. The collective team performances by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots team thumped Andre Russell-led Jamaica Tallawahs to end their campaign in the tournament despite the century from Glenn Philip.

It was a classic batting track on offer at Guyana to trouble the bowlers throughout the game.

However, in the end, the team that held the pressure nerves better advanced to play Trinbago Knight Riders in the Qualifier 2.

CPL 2018: Glenn Philips knocks a stunning century for Jamaica Tallawahs:

Initially, it was St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, who won the toss and asked Jamaica to bat first. Though they managed to get Charles cheaply, it was Kiwi pair, Glenn Philip and Ross Taylor, who went on knock the boundaries often than not.

Glenn Philips, in particular, showed his skills to bring his century for Jamaica in CPL 2018. Despite the stupendous knock from the wicketkeeper, the other batsman in the team failed to give it a decent push in the end to cross 200.

All in all, they ended up posting a massive 191/5 on the board. Ben Cutting picked a couple of wickets but left the economy rate for the toss-up as he gave 45 runs in just three overs.

CPL 2018: Anton Devcich guides St Kitts and Nevis Patriots:

In reply, it was a collective batting effort from the team. Apart from Devon Thomas, all the batsmen scored decent runs to their names to inch the team closer to the victory.

However, Anton Devcich was the standout player for St Kitts, who smashed a brilliant fifty off just 23 balls. Just when things looked easier, Devcich lost his wicket leaving the burden on Ben Cutting.

The Australian, who is having a nightmare of the day, got back to his own when it mattered the most. He scored a brilliant 17* that turned the game in St Kitts way.

When it required five off two balls, Cutting launches one into the crowd to push St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to Qualifier 2
