Dale Steyn has Regained Full Fitness, Expected to be Part of the Sri Lanka Tour

South Africa speedster, Dale Steyn has been working pretty hard in the recent past.
Due to his immense work out in the last few days, Steyn has returned to near full fitness. He sustained a heel injury early in the year and was ruled out from further action after that.
Steyn has been out of action since January. The fast bowler suffered a freakish heel injury during the 1st Test between India and South Africa at the Newlands in Cape Town.
It was Steyn’s first Test in over a year. He sustained a shoulder injury against Australia towards the later stages of 2016. When he got ruled out of the series against India, many were of the opinion that Steyn’s international career is all but over.
However, Steyn had worked very hard and is in the process of silencing his critics. He has been an injury prone cricketer since the start of his career. He will look to remain in perfect shape in the last few years in his illustrious career.
Steyn is currently in England. He is awaiting a month-long stint with Hampshire. He confirmed about his participation during an interview to the club. Steyn confirmed that he is back to full fitness.
“The ball is coming out sweetly,” he said. Steyn further added it was his own decision to approach Hampshire for the possibility of joining them for a brief period.

Steyn reveals decision to play for Hampshire was his own
“I needed to get back on the park and play a bit of cricket. South Africa tour Sri Lanka in July so I felt that June was a great time to come and play some cricket.”
The speedster added he would like to increase his association with Hampshire after the conclusion of South Africa’s tour of Sri Lanka. He further suggested he will be part of the national side. They are expected to travel to the subcontinent to play a couple of Tests and five ODI’s.
The speedster is arguably the greatest fast bowler South Africa has seen. Steyn has bagged 417 Test wickets in his career so far.
The speedster needs just four more wickets to join Shaun Pollock, as the leading wicket-taker for South Africa in Tests.
