Danielle Wyatt Clinches Sports Personality of the Year Award

England batswoman Danielle Wyatt has won the Sports Personality of the year award at the 2018 Stoke Sports award. Wyatt had recently played for the Supernovas in the Women’s Twenty20 Challenge against Trailblazers in Mumbai.

Wyatt was also the part of the England World Cup-winning squad last year (2017). She played under the leadership of Heather Knight.

The right-handed batter scored 81 runs in the four innings she played in the coveted tournament at their backyard.

However, Wyatt is in fine form after the 2017 Women World Cup. The exciting batswoman had scored a fine century in the Twenty20 game in the Ashes series.

Wyatt has played 56 One-Day Internationals for the England team. The 27-year-old has scored 693 runs in the 45 innings she has played.

Meanwhile, Wyatt has featured in 78 Twenty20 Internationals for the English team. She has scored 870 runs in the 57 innings. She has played a significant role for the English women.

Moreover, Wyatt has scored two tons in the shortest format of the game.

Wyatt has also scalped 27 wickets in the 30 innings she has bowled in the 50-over format.

The English all-rounder has taken 46 wickets in the 42 innings she has bowled in the shortest format of the game.

Furthermore, Wyatt made her T20I and ODI debut against India in 2010.

Wyatt consistent performance with both bat and the ball has helped her in bagging the coveted award.
