Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan who has plied his trade all over the world to take part in the T20 competition is all set to be part of the Vitality T20 Blast. Rashid has been roped in by Sussex and the leggie will be looking forward to his time in England. He hasn’t got much experience of playing in England. Hence it will be a great opportunity for the No 1 spinner in the T20I format to make a mark in unfamiliar conditions in England.
Rashid Khan’s tweet
Expressing his delight at getting an opportunity to play in the tournament Rashid took to his twitter handle and stated how excited he was with the new assignment. “Off to England excited about @VitalityBlast can’t wait to play for @SussexCCC C U Soon Guys,” he wrote. English women’s cricketer Danielle Wyatt took to her twitter handle and wrote “Yassssss” with a dancing emoticon sign. Given the star Rashid has become in the shortest format, there is no down about the fact that the whole of England will be looking forward to seeing him bowl.

This is not the first time that Wyatt has made her mark on the social media platform. She had earlier proposed Virat Kohli on Twitter. It was after one of his magnificent innings. She had asked him to marry her. It was obviously on a lighter note. However, the Indians have her a torrid over the tweet. Later when Virat got married to Anushka Sharma, she also congratulated them.
Meanwhile coming back to Rashid there is no doubt about the fact that he is a champion bowler in the limited overs format. He was quite exceptional in the Indian Premier League. He finished as leading wicket-taker for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the previous edition alongside Siddharth Kaul. In the T20 series against England which followed, Rashid bagged 9 wickets in the three-match T20I series as Afghanistan thumped Bangladesh by a 3-0 margin.
