Veteran commentator Harsha Bhogle has launched a stunning rant at the Indian team-management for their decision to drop Wriddhiman Saha from the playing eleven for the ongoing first Test against New Zealand. The Indian team-management sprung a big surprise by dropping Wriddhiman Saha for Rishabh Pant.

At the start of the home season last year, India dropped Rishabh Pant in order to make room for Wriddhiman Saha. The senior wicketkeeper impressed straightaway in the challenging conditions and was also hailed by Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri as the best in the world.

On the other hand, Rishabh Pant lost his place in the ODI and T20I playing eleven too. He suffered a concussion while batting in the Mumbai ODI against Australia last month and the team had to ask KL Rahul to keep the wickets. Rahul made the most of the opportunity and is now being preferred as the keeper-batsman ahead of Pant in white-ball formats.

Unsurprisingly, not many were expecting Pant to make it to the playing eleven for the ongoing game. However, the team-management decided to leave everyone surprised and Harsha Bhogle was not at all impressed with it. He took to Twitter to post a couple of tweets while expressing his disappointment over the decision.

“Just up and see Saha is left out. We have just told every young keeper in India not to bother becoming the best in the world behind the stumps and instead focus on getting a few more runs in front of them. Disappointed,” wrote Harsha Bhogle.

In his second tweet, Harsha Bhogle took a sly dig at the team-management, writing: “Am waiting to see Shreya Ghoshal left out of a major concert because the other girl could strum the guitar a bit better!! #Saha”

Interestingly, Harsha Bhogle deleted his second tweet.
