The first name that would be struck the mind if you hear a word ‘aggression’, it would be Virat Kohli in Indian cricket. But earlier, it used to be former Team India skipper Sourav Ganguly, who ruled the cricket with his captaincy despite the lack of comforts to the players compared to now.
Veteran Ganguly has always been the fan of Kohli as both somehow share a lot of similarities. Meanwhile, in a show, Breakfast with Champions, hosted by Gaurav Kapur, Ganguly made quite a few statements on modern-day great Kohli.
Virat always looks he is on a mission: Sourav Ganguly
While heaping praises on Kohli, Ganguly stated that everyone would love to watch him playing. He feels wherever a cricket fan is present if Kohli plays, he/she would love to watch him.
Ganguly went on to say that Kohli always looks like he is on the mission to drive his team to the best.
“When Virat Kohli plays, wherever you are you will come and watch that because he is playing. That is his impact. When you look at him, you will get to know that this Man has a mission of making his team the best,” Ganguly said.
I and nation believes in Virat Kohli: Ganguly
Of late, there are a lot of controversies revolved around the Yo-Yo test. It was made stricter after the captaincy tenure of Kohli kicked off. The Indian skipper is very clear in welcoming the member in the team only if he passes the much-touted test.
Speaking of the same, Ganguly remarked there is the reason behind the emergence of the Yo-Yo test. He feels it improves and tests the mental strength of a player. He ended by adding that he keeps his trust in Kohli and the whole nation believes him.
“There is fitness and yo -yo test. People criticize it but there is a reason behind these tests. You have to be mentally tough. Now cricket is fitness oriented and sports has changed over the years. I have a lot of hopes on Virat Kohli and nation believes in him,” he inferred.
All in all, the words from Sourav Ganguly clearly indicates his trust and love towards Virat Kohli. As the Bengal-based former cricketer said, Virat Kohli is currently carrying the burden of a lot of hopes, especially, with ICC WC 2019 on its way.
