England, who were considered as hot favourites especially in recently completed Twenty20 International series turned out to be an embarrassment for their fans who were seeming to be enough confident.

India went on to win the T20 series by 2-1 courtesy Rohit Sharma, Lokesh Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav’s brilliance during the three-match series.

Moreover, India would love to maintain their winning run in the ODI series. Both the top-ranked teams will be looking for early lead in ongoing 50-over series.

India and England are concurrently playing first ODI in Nottingham.

Earlier, the visiting team India won the first T20 with the help of Kuldeep’s five-wicket haul before whom England’s dominant batting line-up tumbled.

Alex Hales was the hero of the second T20, who drove the ship of England towards victory. In the third T20, England posted a good total on board but India got a flier due to the presence of ‘Hitman’ Rohit.

So, everything else apart from Rohit faded away in the second innings.

Team Prediction:

As everybody is busy with the prediction, former England skipper Michael Vaughan also took to social media – to give his verdict regarding the ongoing England-India series.

Veteran cricketer Vaughan in his latest Instagram post said, that he would stick with England in the 50-overs fold irrespective of T20 results.

Backing Three Lions, Vaughan predicts that it will be 2-1 again but this time England will bring the trophy home.

India will try to maintain the same rhythm. On the other side, England will try to get the motivational power. The hosts recently managed to display in the recently held limited-overs series against Australia.

Individual prediction:

Michael Vaughan, the former cricketer of England didn’t only predict the winner of the series but he went beyond that as well.

The 43-year-old Vaughan also predicted individual performance from both the teams. As per Vaughan, Jonny Bairstow will be the highest scorer for England. However, fast bowler Liam Plunkett will dominate the wickets column.

From Indian Team, it will be all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who will take most wickets. Whereas, in the batting department, it will be none other than aggressive batsman Rohit Sharma.

In conclusion, Michael Vaughan believes Rohit will be the leading run scorer for the Men in Blue.
