However, there is a possibility they will be the first brothers to play for England in the same match since Adam and Ben Hollioake back in 1999.
Meanwhile, the youngster, Stone is regarded as one of the quickest bowlers in the country. After recuperating from the injuries earlier in the season, he finally managed to play regularly. The 24-year-old started off his career with Northamptonshire before moving to Edgbaston at the start of the 2017 season.
Olly Stone has bowled quite well with Warwickshire. He has bowled with pace and aggression which eventually helped him find a place in the ECB bowling programme in 2015.
Plunkett to miss first three games due to his wedding
The quick bowler got named in the 16-man squad as a replacement for Liam Plunkett who is slated to get married. The date of Plunkett’s wedding will clash with the game time. However, after the preparations, it was not possible for Plunkett to cancel it. Now, he will join the squad for the last two ODI’s in Kandy and Colombo.
The squad also consists of three premier spinners. While the two first-choice spinners are Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid, Liam Dawson, the slow left-arm spinner is also part of the squad. Meanwhile, leader of England’s bowling attack in the white-ball format Chris Woakes is also part of the squad. Alex Hales and Ben Stokes have also been named on the list. They recently got charged for bringing the game into disrepute for their actions outside a Bristol nightclub last September.

However, all-rounder Sam, who made his ODI debut against Australia at Old Trafford earlier this year, has been included as the left-arm bowling option in the squad, as David Willey was ruled out of the tour with a stress fracture of the back.
