Team India will play three One-Day Internationals, as many T20 Internationals and five Test matches on their upcoming England tour.

Consequently, we had noticed in 2015, India’s tour to Down Under before the World Cup was beneficial for the team.

Speaking on the sidelines of CEAT cricket awards, Rohit said,

“England series will be important considering the World Cup will be played in the same country after a year”.

Rohit added it is crucial to get the right combination before the coveted tournament.

The right-hand opening batsman has shown a huge spike in his improvement graph in the last five years. Meanwhile, the Indian team has still got some bases to cover.

“It’s going to be crucial one year for all of us, and the team needs to decide on the right combination in the lead-up to the World Cup,” added the stylish Indian opener.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma considers MS Dhoni returning to form as a big positive for the Virat Kohli-led team. Former India skipper scored 455 runs in the 15 innings in the IPL for title winners CSK.

“MS Dhoni rocking back to form in style is extremely important considering the experience and skills that he brings to the table,” Sharma added.

Rohit is a prolific limited-overs batsman. However, he has the struggle to hit the ground running in the red ball form especially while playing overseas. Thus, Rohit aims to secure his place in the Indian whites.

“The aim will be to cement my spot in Tests as well,” he concluded.
