England vs India 2018, 3rd Test - Virat Kohli Completes 13th Overseas Hundred

Team India skipper, Virat Kohli continued his dominant run in international career and smashed his 23rd Test ton against England on day three of the 3rd Test at Trent Bridge. With this, Virat also notched up his 13th Test century in overseas conditions.
The India captain has scored ten fifties and as many centuries at home while eight fifties and 13 centuries in the overseas conditions.
However, Virat Kohli looked set to score twin centuries in the Test. He fell agonisingly close in the first innings and was dismissed by Adil Rashid just three runs short of a well-deserved century.
Earlier in the series, Virat Kohli smashed a fighting century in the opening Test at Edgbaston. He fought really hard and got a couple of reprieves. However, the right-hander played a gritty knock and went on to smash 149 runs which included some exceptional hits. After getting into the groove, he looked in complete control of proceedings. The battle against James Anderson has been quite sensational. However, he hasn’t been able to bag his wicket in the series so far.
In the first innings of the third Test at Trent Bridge, Kohli shared the most defining partnership of 159 runs with Ajinkya Rahane. For the first time in the series, Rahane looked in ominous touch. He took the attack to the position and played some exceptional shots in the process. Kohli has been in the form of his life. It is his form which has shrugged in the performances of other players.
For the first time in the series, the batters looked in complete command of proceedings. After scoring 329 runs in the 1st innings, India piled on 352/7 before declaring the innings. Now with England given a target of 521 runs, India is likely to make is 1-2 in the five-match Test series.
