It has been a splendid Test so far for India in Southampton. They rattled England lineup on the first day of the penultimate Test and then started the innings on a bright note on the fag end of the opening day of England vs India, 4th Test. We’re here with the live updates.

It required a special effort from the 20-year-old Sam Curran and the comeback all-rounder, Moeen Ali, to give something on the board for Englishmen.

However, it was the day entirely belongs to the Indian fast bowlers.

Jasprit Bumrah has been the star on day one with his incredible piece of bowling display when he bagged three wickets. He was amply supported by Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami and Ravichandran Ashwin when it mattered the most.

India played those last few tricky overs efficiently to start with ten wickets on the second day of the game. Coming to the day two of the Test, Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul looked solid in the middle with their classy strokes all over.

However, After adding 18 runs to the last night score, Rahul failed to deal with the delivery of Stuart Broad. He was trapped in front of the wicket to walk back to the hut with 19 runs in his kitty.

Rahul looked quite solid in his 24-ball stay, but nip-backer from Broad halted his game.

It was the umpteenth time for Rahul to miss out the inswinger in the Test cricket.

Here is the KL Rahul’s wicket:

Shikhar Dhawan bites dust off Stuart Broad:

After sending KL Rahul back to the hut, the lanky Broad got rid of Shikhar Dhawan as well. It was a superb piece of effort from Broad to induce an edge from Dhawan’s willow.

Broad consistently troubled the Indian batsmen by his consistent line and lengths. This time for Dhawan, he pitched it up asking southpaw to have a poke at it.

Shikhar Dhawan, who resisted himself for a long time couldn’t stop himself attempting it during the second morning of 4th Test in Southampton.

However, Dhawan’s habit of going for it helped Broad to get that edge which was caught nicely by wicket-keeper Jos Buttler.

Suddenly, India, who started the things on a promising note lost both the openers in the span of 13 runs.

Meanwhile, the skipper of Indian cricket, Virat Kohli walks to the middle with Cheteshwar Pujara hanging at the other end.
