England vs India, 2018, 4th Test: Twitterati unimpressed with KL Rahul's dismal run

KL Rahul’s poor run of form in Test cricket continues. At the start of the tour, KL Rahul came into the dugout with enormous runs on his back in IPL. He followed it by a stunning century in the T20I game.

However, he couldn’t quite carry on himself in the longer version of the game. Despite getting the chances on the regular basis, KL Rahul is yet to make a mark of his own in the ongoing Test series.

KL Rahul is yet to score an individual fifty in the series:

Despite having the chance to play only 2 openers, the team management trusted his form and replaced with Cheteshwar Pujara in the side for the first Test. But, it was severely backfired as he couldn’t quite carry himself.

However, he was still given the chance to knock runs for the team at Lords. The overcast conditions saw him walking back again with cheap scores on his backpack. Nonetheless, team management still trusted his ability.

They asked Murali Vijay to sit out of the team and opened with KL Rahul at Trent bridge. This time, he got the decent starts but once again couldn’t convert into a big knock thus letting the team down.

However, he scored the marks with his exceptional catching at slip cordon. Meanwhile, in the fourth Test at The Rose Bowl, Southampton, KL Rahul once again failed to carry on the momentum.

His weakness to play the incoming deliveries was once again exposed by Stuart Broad. His stunning inswinger got the Karnataka batsman plumb in front of the wicket which also opened the wickets account for India.
