Former English skipper Keith Fletcher backs Virat Kohli to come good in upcoming England vs India 2018 Test series. Fletcher said that Virat Kohli is almost invincible on flat tracks. However, the former England captain said that Kohli will have his work cut out in moving conditions.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli didn’t have a merry time on the last tour of 2014. He scored only 134 runs in five Test matches. However, Keith Fletcher believes that Virat Kohli is an experienced batsman now.

Kohli will like to get past his previous tour hoodoo.

Keith Fletcher shared his thought on the three best batsmen going around in the world.

“All are cracking players, but it does depend on what wickets they play on. If it was dead flat, it would be Kohli. If it was seaming about, Joe Root. And I think Williamson can play too. They are all potentially great players”.

Fletcher who played 59 Test matches for England believes that the conditions will be the key. The former England batter who was known for his good game against the spinners added Virat Kohli is a far better player than 2014.

“Conditions are the key. If it moves, then Kohli, he has got to work it out. But he was young then, now he is an experienced lad. We will see.”

The 74-year-old former England player went on to add that upcoming England vs India 2018 series is going to be bring exciting cricket. Fletcher said that India has an all-around attack. However, England is not going to be a walk in the park.

“India has got a good all-around attack. You’re going to be a handful because you got good seamers, good spinners, and lovely batters. But England will also make it tough for you, so it will be a great series,” Keith added.

Former England skipper added that putting runs on the board will be the key to India’s success. With the kind of attack India has, they can put the hosts on the backfoot with the pressure of the scoreboard. Thus, Virat Kohli will like his batsmen to be at the top of the game.

“The most important thing is you must get enough runs. If you do, with the attack you got, you have a chance. You will be up against quality as far as Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad are concerned. They can get people out.”
