England vs India 2018: Twitterati wants Anil Kumble to replace Ravi Shastri as a head coach

The selection of head coach for Indian cricket was a regular buzz during those times. However, in the end, it was Ravi Shastri who bagged the reigns ahead of Anil Kumble after the support from the Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket fans aren’t impressed with the way things panned out for India. They lashed out at the Board of Control for Cricket in India to sack Ravi Shastri as the head coach of the team after a poor outing to England.

Team India enjoyed quite a success under Kumble’s watchful eyes. India completely outsmarted the oppositions in home conditions and reached the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 which has been the last tournament for Kumble as head coach as well.

However, then there were rumours came out regarding the rift between Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble over team selection. In the end, it resulted in the ouster of Anil Kumble and the rumours turned true as well.

Meanwhile, the selection of Ravi Shastri hasn’t served well for India. Recently, Ravi Shastri was criticised for his poor fitness and a lot of memes have been carried out on his fitness levels as well.

The debacle in England pushed the bar in fans to ask BCCI bring back Anil Kumble as the head coach. It was the time under Anil Kumble when Team India enjoyed quite a success in all formats of the game and became ruthless.

Initially, the Advisory panel suggested the likes of Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan to travel with the team for overseas. However, it went for the toss-up as the head coach Ravi Shastri isn’t comfortable with the decision.
