The head coach of England, Trevor Bayliss has his say on the stiff back of Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. Bayliss feels that he could be more dangerous as a player after recovering from an injury for Team India.

The Indian skipper faced some back stiffness in the second Test match at Lord’s.

However, in the post-match interaction, Kohli made sure that he would be fit to next game (third Test). However, he got a nine days gap to recover from his injury. The third match will kick off on Saturday in Nottingham (August 18).

In the second Test match, Kohli did not bat at his position and felt discomfort after coming to bat. He did not take the field in the fourth day during the batting of England.

Trevor Bayliss, however, said that he is not feeling worried about the fitness issues of Indian skipper, Virat Kohli.

“It could mean he’s more of a dangerous player. Through history there are a lot of players who have played with an injury and scored runs and taken wickets,” Bayliss said.

“I don’t know if that focuses the mind more but I have just seen him take some slip catches without any problems, so I’m sure he’ll be playing. That won’t change our approach to the way we play him.”

English coach, Bayliss is hopeful to have similar conditions at Trent Bridge as that of Lord’s. India faced swimming conditions in Lord’s due to switching of weather conditions. Due to rain halts, It became difficult for India to bat on.

However, the pitch appeared different after the sun came out during England batting before Chris Woakes smashed a fine maiden Test hundred.

“I haven’t been out there, but normally there is a bit of swing around. We’re looking forward to it being the same as Lord’s. That would be nice,” he added
