English county cricket club Essex has signed a deal with Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa for the upcoming Natwest Twenty20 Blast, the club confirmed the same on Tuesday, February 6.
While Essex team has failed to pass the quarter-final hurdle in their last four years of the Blast, they are hopeful of lifting the silverware this time around.

Essex Head Coach Anthony Mcgrath is eager to get the team off to a winning start. Zampa is known for his impressive grip and ability to make an impact in the shorter formats of the game.
Earlier. Australian has represented Rising Pune Supergiants in the Indian Premier League and turned out for Melbourne Stars in the KFC Big Bash League (BBL). He has also shown supreme skills in the Caribbean Premier League while playing for its outfit Guyana Amazon Warriors.
All eyes on Adam Zampa:
“I have been keeping tabs on Adam for a while. He has the ability to spin the ball both ways and that mystery in the middle overs is something that we have been missing from our T20 side,” said McGrath.
“Adam has done excellently in the <!---->B<!---->B<!---->L<!---->?<!---->?and IPL, and has also featured regularly in white-ball cricket for Australia, so we know we are bringing in someone of International quality.”

“We have done our homework and leg-spin makes a real difference in T20 cricket around the world, but you don’t want to just bring in any legspinner. Adam is one of the best around at the moment and it is another outstanding signing for the Club.” he added.
