Twitter Reacts After Faf Du Plessis Pulls Off Back-To-Back Stunning Catches At The Boundary

Oh Faf! You bloody superman! You can’t help but repeat these words again and again as the former South African skipper Faf du Plessis once again displayed why he is one of the all-time great fielders. And, he displayed that not once but twice during the opening game of the 2020 IPL against the Mumbai Indians.

With Saurabh Tiwary and Hardik Pandya going hammer and tongs against the likes of Ravindra Jadeja and Lungi Ngidi, Chennai Super Kings needed something inspirational in the world. And, by good didn’t Faf du Plessis stepped up to the occasion or what.

Both instances came in the 15th over of the Mumbai Indians innings. The first victim of Du Plessis brilliance was Saurabh Tiwary. The southpaw has lifted a tossed up delivery of Ravindra Jadeja towards the long-on boundary when Faf did his magic by taking the catch before throwing it up the air at the time of crossing the boundary before successfully completing it on the rebound.

And, if that wasn’t enough, Du Plessis went one step ahead on the fourth ball of the same over, where he times his jump too perfection to see off the danger man in Hardik Pandya.

Naturally, Twitter went ablaze after Faf du Plessis brilliance.
