Former Pakistan allrounder Abdul Razzaq seems to have developed a knack of remaining in the headlines by making bizarre comments. A few months ago, he had expressed his desire of training Hardik Pandya, claiming that he would make the India allrounder the best in the world instead of helping out Pakistan are who are still desperately trying to find a reliable pace-bowling allrounder.

Abdul Razzaq has now once again hit the headlines because of his newly-found love for making bizarre comments. The ex-cricketer believes that had he been active till now, he would not have had any problems in facing India’s pace-sensation Jasprit Bumrah. World No.1 ODI bowler Jasprit Bumrah is regarded as one of the best pacers of the current era.

After arriving at the international stage as a white-ball specialist, Bumrah has established himself as one of the best if not the best across all formats. Ever since making his Test debut in Cape Town in January 2018, Bumrah has improved by leaps and bounds and is ranked no.5 in ICC Test rankings for bowlers. He has looked more or less unplayable in all the formats.

But while others are busy finding superlatives to describe Bumrah, Abdul Razzaq believes Bumrah is a ‘baby bowler’ in comparison to yesteryear bowlers like Wasim Akram, Glenn McGrath, and Shoaib Akhtar.

“I have played against great bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him,”said Razzaq in an interview to Cricket Pakistan.

“After having faced world-class bowlers in my time, I would have had no problem against a bowler like Bumrah. The pressure would have been on him,” Razzaq further added.

Unsurprisingly, the Indian fans did not let Abdul Razzaq get away with his comment for Bumrah. The fans took to Twitter to slam the ex-cricketer as well as mock him.
