Rajat Sharma promises to bring in transparency

Rajat pledged to bring a sort of transparency and accountability in the association. The statement came after the state association inflicted a 12-0 clean sweep in the DDCA Elections.

The elections which went on for four days saw a total turnaround of 70%. 2,791 DDCA members cast their votes. The eligible number of voters was 3,828.

Gautam Gambhir’s statement

“The 12-0 victory of @RajatSharmaLive group is a victory of honest intent over some needless faffing. Over the years, some loudmouths have done nothing for Delhi cricket. I am positive the new administration will take some solid developmental steps,” Gambhir wrote.

Gambhir remains one of the most influential batsmen of India during his playing days. He played two of the greatest knocks in two historic days for India. Gambhir played the match-winning knock of 75 when India won the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 under the leadership of MS Dhoni.

The southpaw was at his imperious best during the final of the 2011 World Cup. Apri 2 still will forever remain one of the most special days in the history of Indian cricket. Gambhir has been out of the international radar for a long time now. Ahead of the Indian Premier League, Gauti got elected as the skipper of Delhi Daredevils.

He had previously done a terrific job for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the past. Hence, he was handed over the duties to take over the captaincy role of Delhi.

However, Gambhir stepped down from his post after Delhi started off horrendously. He handed over the captaincy duties to Shreyas Iyer. They did win a few matches, but it wasn’t enough to help them qualify for the playoffs.
