Gautam Gambhir, former World Cup-winning Indian cricketer-turned-politician, has once again lashed out at former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi, following the latter’s recent comments against India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Afridi recently visited the Pakistan occupied area of Kashmir where he mocked PM Modi and said ‘the bigger disease is in Modi’s mind’ while also saying that the 7 Lakh Pakistan Army has the backing of the 20 crore people of Pakistan.
“I am in your beautiful village, I am very delighted. I was planning to visit you all from a long time. The world is currently infected by such a big disease,” said Shahid Afridi before taking a shot at PM Modi, saying: “But the bigger disease is in Modi’s mind.”
Afridi even went on to express his desire to captaining the Kashmir team in the Pakistan Super League while also claiming that a majority of India’s Kashmir supports Pakistan and its army.
“Modi deployed 7 lakh soldiers in Kashmir, same as the total strength of Pakistani forces,” he added.

Remember Bangladesh? Gautam Gambhir asks ’16-year-0ld-man’ Shahid Afridi
The video had been going viral on social media, and Gautam Gambhir, who has a long history of tussles with the former Pakistani all-rounder, took to Twitter to give a befitting reply to the ’16-year-old man’.
Gautam Gambhir went on to remind Afridi of what happened in East Pakistan (today’s Bangladesh) in 1971, saying that Pakistan wouldn’t get Kashmir till judgment day.
“Pak has 7 lakh force backed by 20 Cr ppl says 16 yr old man @SAfridiOfficial. Yet begging for Kashmir for 70 yrs. Jokers like Afridi, Imran & Bajwa can spew venom against India & PM @narendramodi ji to fool Pak ppl but won’t get Kashmir till judgment day! Remember Bangladesh?” Gautam Gambhir replied.
As soon as the video of Afridi went viral, netizens expressed their disappointment and anger by the fact that former Indian cricketers in Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh recently donated to the former Pakistan all-rounder’s trust.
This is not the first time that Shahid Afridi has spewed venom against India over the Kashmir issue. For the uninitiated, Afridi’s family has had connections with the terrorists in Kashmir. Back in 2003, Afridi’s first cousin was killed in an encounter by the BSF in Anantnag.
