George Garton Receives A Call For Trial From Rajasthan Royals Ahead Of IPL 2020 Auction

Ahead of IPL 2020 auction, Rajasthan Royals are trying various fast bowlers to give them a go during the auction. Regarding the same, they gave a call to George Garton of England asking to provide a trial of him in the Rajasthan Royals’ nets. The fast bowler agreed to the request, and he is on his way to Nagpur to undergo the tests.

George Garton named as the best bowler of the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2019. He picked 12 wickets with an average of 13.66 and economy of 10.25. Garton’s trial is going to be held in Nagpur from December 3. The IPL auction will take place on December 19. Rajasthan Royals are looking for a replacement of Oshane Thomas, who was released earlier this year.

Speaking of the same, George Garton quoted that he is pretty happy with the opportunity and he would like to make full use of the chance. Garton wants to show what he is capable of doing for the team to taste the essence of the Indian Premier League. Garton was over the moon after receiving the call from Rajasthan Royals.

He stated that Indian Premier League is the biggest franchise cricket in the world. Further George Garton termed receiving a call from such a highly-followed franchise is a confidence booster for him going forward in his cricketing career.

“It’s obviously an amazing opportunity and I’m very grateful to be given the chance to go over there and show them what I can do.” Garton was quoted as saying in a press release by Sussex, Garton’s domestic side in England.
