The leg-spinner from Zimbabwe, Graeme Cremer has taken a temporary break from cricket due to his family commitments. Meanwhile, the former skipper has now relocated from Zimbabwe to Dubai, where she works as a pilot. Graeme Cremer has 211 international wickets to his name in a career that has already spanned 14 years.

Cremer said that he now has a fulltime job of looking after the kids while his wife is flying. He also wished Zimbabwe Cricket for their future and hoped to join them in future.

With my wife always away flying, I now have a full-time job looking after the kids and settling them into this new environment,” he said. “I am hoping this may only be temporary, so I may be able to commute back and forth to Zimbabwe, but who knows what the future holds… that’s all I can say at this stage.

But while I am away I wish Zimbabwe Cricket all the very best in what’s to come, and I hope to join the boys again in the future,” he added.

Givemore Makoni, the acting managing director of Zimbabwe Cricket, has said that the news is a blow to the Zimbabwe team and he hopes that Cremer will be able to make a return at some point in the future.

Your wickets, numbers and everything you have contributed to our game speak for themselves and we as ZC are proud of you,” Makoni said. “Your services will be greatly missed but we hope to have you in our national colours again soon. In the meantime, we send our best wishes to you and your family,” he said.

Graeme Cremer has represented Zimbabwe in 19 Tests, 96 one-day internationals and 29 Twenty Internationals.
