Hardik Pandya Congratulates Krunal Pandya For Man Of The Series Effort Against West Indies

Krunal Pandya has made the most of the chance given to him in the just-concluded T20I series against West Indies. Having made his T20I during the tour of Australia last year, Krunal Pandya turned out to be India’s star man against West Indies. The Gujarat allrounder walked away with the Man of the Series award to justify the faith shown in him by the selectors.

He was instrumental in India’s 3-0 win over the reigning world champions. The southpaw got through overs quickly while slowing down the run rate whenever Virat Kohli handed him the ball. In the second T20I, Pandya struck twice with the wickets of Pooran and Powell to derail the home team’s run chase. Pandya finished the game with figures of 2 for 23 in 3.3 overs.
He received the Man of the Match award for his showing in the second game. He was economical in the first match of the series as well, finishing with figures of 4-1-13-1. His spell in the first game included 16 dot balls.
“Quite satisfying and obviously won the series and to contribute in a winning cause is a good feeling. The focus is to improve every day and and I am not thinking much about anything, just trying to focus on getting better. He (Pollard) is like a brother to me and playing against him, he knows my strength and I know his strength. I guess whoever uses his brain (when asked who gets the better of who),” Krunal Pandya said while receiving the Man of the Series award.

Hardik Pandya, meanwhile, was quick to congratulate his elder brother. The India allrounder, who was not a part of the series because of an injury, took to Twitter to congratulate Team India and Krunal.
