India’s winning run against Australia on the ongoing tour came to an end on Tuesday with the 12-run defeat in the third and final T20I at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The Men in Blue had won the third ODI and the first two ODIs before losing the third T20I.

The three-match series ended 2-1 in India’s favour. Asked to bat first, Australia posted an imposing total of 186 for 5 in the allotted 20 overs. Matthew Wade scored 80 while Glenn Maxwell scored 54. In reply, India finished their innings on 174 for 7 despite Virat Kohli playing a fine knock of 85.

Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya’s gesture for T Natarajan:

After the game ended, Hardik Pandya and skipper Virat Kohli came up with incredible gestures for T Natarajan who was playing his debut T20I series. Pandya handed his Man of the Series award to the pacer while Virat Kohli handed him the Series Trophy.

T Natarajan was seen posing with both the trophies when Team India posed for photos after the end of the presentation ceremony. The Tamil Nadu ace has been one of India’s biggest positives on the tour. The left-arm pacer was originally not a part of India’s T20I and ODI squads and was picked only as a net bowler.

However, fate had planned something else for the pacer. T Natarajan soon found a spot in both the T20I as well as the ODI team after unfortunate injuries to other players and he has made the most of it. He picked two wickets on his ODI debut and more importantly gave India their first wicket in the powerplay on the tour.

On his T20I debut, he picked three wickets to help India defend 161. And his finest display came during the second T20I when he gave away just 20 runs in his four overs and took 2 wickets. In the third match, he picked 1 wicket for 33 runs.
