Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali and Afghanistan duo of Asghar Afghan and Rashid Khan have fined 15 percent of their match fees. All the 3 players have received one demerit point for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct in separate incidents. It happened during the Super Four match between Afghanistan and Pakistan in Abu Dhabi on Friday.
Hasan Ali and Asghar Afghan were found guilty of breaching Article 2.1.1 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel. It relates to “conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game”, while Rashid Khan violated Article 2.1.7 which deals with “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batsman upon his/her dismissal during an international match.
Hasan Ali and Rashid Khan have received demerit points for the very first time. However, for Asghar Afghan, it is the 2nd time that he has been handed a demerit point within a 24 month period. Back in February 2017, Asghar Afghan received an official reprimand and one demerit point. It was because of showing dissent at an umpiring decision in an OD against Zimbabwe. As of now, he has two demerit points.

Meanwhile Asghar Afghan the Afghanistan skipper brushed his shoulder with the bowler Hasan Ali in the 37th over. It was when he went passed him while taking a run.
Meanwhile, Rashid was also charged and fined for giving a send-off to Asif Ali in the 47th over. It was moments after Ali smashed him for a huge six. He stared at the batsman by holding up his finger which might have provoked the departing batsmen.
All the three players pleaded guilty to their offense. Hence no official hearing was required. They accepted the sanctions imposed on them by Andy Pycroft, the Match Referee during the 2nd Super 4 match of the tournament.
