Over the last two decades, Jacques Kallis won hearts all over the world by his performance with the bat and ball. In a career that spanned nearly two decades, Jacques Kallis performed extremely well with both bat and ball to earn the status of one of the greatest allrounders or cricketers to have ever played this game.

The former South Africa allrounder has now won over hearts once again by accepting a daring challenge for a noble cause. The legendary cricketer shaved off exactly half of his beard and took to the social media platforms to post pictures and reveal the reason behind his action. Kallis revealed that he shaved his beard in such manner in order to raise money to save rhinos in South Africa.

The challenge involves shaving off half of the facial and chest hair in order to raise awareness and money in order to save rhinos. Posting the picture on Instagram, Kallis wrote:

“Going to be an interesting few days. All for a good cause ??Rhinos and golf development @alfreddunhill”

Jacques Kallis, meanwhile, is arguably the greatest allrounder to have played the game. The Proteas legend retired from the game as one of the most decorated batsmen as well as bowlers. Till date, he is the only South Africa to have scored more than 10,000 runs in Tests and ODIs. He made his international debut way back in 1995 and retired in 2014.

During his illustrious career, Kallis played 328 ODIs, scoring 11,579 runs with 17 centuries and 86 fifties at an average of 44.36. In 166 Tests, he amassed 13,289 runs and scored 45 tons as well as 58 fifties while averaging more than 55 with the bat. He also played 25 T20Is and scored 666 runs. With the ball, he picked up 273 ODI wickets and 292 Test wickets.
