Of late, Ravindra Jadeja has become a force to reckon for the Indian National Cricket Team, across the formats. The flamboyant batsman has become a complete cricketer by delivering goods on a regular basis. Be it with the bat or the ball or with his fielding, Jadeja has become the finest player for India irrespective of the conditions.

After showing his ability with the bat in Overseas Test and in ICC World Cup 2019, Ravindra Jadeja has become a regular in the team. The skipper Virat Kohli is trusting the ability of the Saurashtra player and presented him opportunities to bat higher up the order and also given him the freedom to bowl to his lengths.

In an interview to bcci.tv ahead of the third day’s play in the second Test between India and South Africa, Jadeja spoke about his evolution as a cricketer and his current role in the India Test side. During the interview, he called himself a proper all-rounder for the team.

He scored a brilliant 91 in the second Test against South Africa at Pune. Later, he delivered the goods with the ball as well. When asked regarding the same, the stylish southpaw answered Harsha Bhogle stating that he is enjoying his game at the moment and wants to become a very good player in the team.

“I see myself as a proper all-rounder who can take any opportunity, it doesn’t matter whether it’s bowling or batting. I need to give everything whether I am bowling [or batting.] If I am bowling, I need to take wickets, and if I am batting, I need to score in every innings. So, I don’t see whether I am a batting all-rounder or a bowling all-rounder,” Ravindra Jadeja said.

“I can say that I’m getting better opportunities,” Jadeja said. “If I’m batting at No. 6, I get long time to spend in the middle. Whenever I go into bat, I just look to spend some time and then I start to play my shots. That’s helped me a lot,” Ravindra Jadeja told to BCCI.tv.

Well, Ravindra Jadeja is enjoying the best form of his life across the formats. He is delivering those match-winning knocks and also the crucial breakthroughs with the ball. On the whole, Jadeja has become a perfect all-rounder for the team in recent times.
