India national cricket team has displaced England from the numero uno position of the latest ICC ODI Rankings. England has slipped by one position after facing three defeats in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019. Thus, Eoin Morgan led side now has 122 points whereas Virat Kohli-led India is at the top of the ladder with 123 rating points.

New Zealand, who like India are still undefeated in the tournament sit at the third position in the rankings table with 116 rating points. Australia, who have become the first team to book semi-final berth is at the fourth position with 112 points. South Africa, who are already knocked out of the tournament perch at the fifth position in the rankings with 109 points.

England is in a spot of bother.

Pakistan who is still hanging on by a thin thread in the tournament is at the 94 points. On the other hand, Bangladesh occupies the seventh position with 92 points under their belt. Sri Lanka and West Indies have 78 points under their bag and they take the eighth position. Afghanistan who has failed to win a solitary match in the World Cup takes the tenth position in the rankings ladder.

Meanwhile, India will next take on West Indies and needs to win two more matches out of the four to confirm their last four spots. England which is regarded as one of the favourites for the event is gasping now as they need to win their remaining two fixtures against India and New Zealand.

The World Cup 2019 brings another interesting contest as New Zealand takes on Pakistan at Edgbaston, Birmingham. If New Zealand wins, they will go through to the semi-finals whereas if Pakistan wins, they will continue to breathe in the tournament.
