ICC World Cup 2019: England Face a Big Injury Scare Ahead of Tournament

England has suffered a massive injury scare as their skipper Eoin Morgan took a blow to his left-hand index finger while fielding. He was taken to hospital for an X-Ray for the precautionary measure. Thus, it is a big blow for the hosts as Eoin Morgan has led the team with aplomb.
Furthermore, Eoin Morgan is in fine as he was amongst the runs in the recently concluded series against Pakistan. England will two warm-up matches before their starting the tournament against South Africa.

Big blow for England.
England will play their first warm-up match against arch-rivals Australia on 25th May at Rose Bowl, Southampton. The hosts will play their second warm-up match against Afghanistan at Kennington Oval on 27th May.
England will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa at the same venue of Kennington Oval on 30th May.
Subsequently, England???s think tank will hope that their skipper is fit ahead of their opener against the Proteas. Morgan has led from the front and he is going to hold the key for the hosts.

On the other hand, Morgan stated that they are well prepared for the World Cup. England is considered as the red-hot favourites for the event as they have played relentless cricket in the last four years.
Thus, Eoin Morgan-led side will like to play the same brand of cricket in the upcoming showpiece. England is at the zenith of the ICC ODI rankings and they would like to bring their best to the table.
Furthermore, England will have the home advantage under their belt. Hence, they would like to make the most of their known conditions and savour success for the first time in the World Cup. In fact, England has made it to the finals on three occasions but they have failed to cross the last hurdle.
