Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah have been the best performers for the team.
On the other hand, Rohit Sharma has been in sublime form with the bat. The right-hander is the leading run-getter of the tournament as he has scored 647 runs at a staggering average of 92.43 and strike rate of 98.78. Furthermore, the Indian opener has scored five centuries in the ongoing tourney.
“I wouldn’t want to worry about his off-day. I am glad that when he bowled against Sri Lanka, it was, for a change his lucky day. Because he’s been bowling so well but not getting as many wickets and I was really happy for him that he picked wickets. Even if he wasn’t getting wickets, he didn’t get rattled. He knew what his contribution to the team is to get all the way to the semis. I think he is one of our major contributors, just like Rohit,” said Tendulkar while talking to India Today.
Jasprit Bumrah has done a fine job for the Indian team. Bumrah has bowled a great line and length and he is going to hold the key for the Indian team in the upcoming semifinal. India will take on New Zealand at Old Trafford, Manchester on 9th July.
Meanwhile, India is in fine form as they were able to top the points table with 15 points under their belt. India has lost a solitary match against England and they look good to go all the way in the tournament.
