It is such a shame that in a tournament like the World Cup, rain has become the talking point. As many as four games have been already washed out in the ongoing tournament. The latest game which was abandoned due to rain was the one between India and New Zealand in Nottingham. The umpires waited for more than four hours before eventually giving their verdict.

This is the first time in the history of the game that so many games have been abandoned in a single World Cup. Previously, the highest number of games to have been washed out was two in a single edition. The fans are now desperately hoping that the rain does not affect any more games. And amidst all these, all eyes are now on the huge clash between India and Pakistan.

Arguably the biggest game of the tournament, the clash will take place on June 16 in Manchester. Fans are desperate to see the arch-rivals lock horns on Sunday but the rain gods can spoil their mood. The weather forecast for the match day is not all promising. The current scenario is not great either.  Flood barriers have been put up as more heavy rain is expected across Greater Manchester throughout Thursday.

Intermittent, heavy rain has lashed the region since last Friday and the forecast ahead is very much similar.  Talking about the weather on Sunday, the chances of rainfall will be more than 50 percent at the start of the game. The rainfall chance will hover around 50% throughout the day. Well, things are not looking promising at the moment at all. But given the fickle nature of English weather, one can still hope that the game will get underway.

Both India and Pakistan, meanwhile, have lost one point each due to rain. Pakistan have so far won only one of the four games. On the other hand, the Men in Blue have won both of their opening games before the third was washed out.
