ICC World Cup 2019: Pakistan Stand No Chance Against India - Rajkumar Sharma

The marquee clash between Indian National Cricket team and Pakistan in the upcoming ICC World Cup have gained a lot of mileage in the wake of the recent Pulwama attack. There were threats from various corners that India might pull out of the game to register their protest; however, they have decided against it now. Speaking about the tie, Rajkumar Sharma, Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, pointed out that the neighbouring country stand no chance against the Men in Blues.

Virat Kohli & Co will take on the arch-rivals on June 16 at the Old Trafford Stadium. There has been a massive upsurge in demand for tickets and were sold within 48 hours. As per reports, the craze for the tickets is even more than that of the final game on July 14 at the historic Lords stadium. Meanwhile, Pakistan are yet to beat India in a World Cup match. However, the last time both teams faced each other in an ICC event was during the 2017 Champions Trophy final in England where India suffered a humiliating defeat.

India is superior to Pakistan on paper: Rajkumar

Rajkumar Sharma, who stole the headlines for being Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, said that Pakistan have no chances to beat India. However, he also mentioned that cricket is a game of uncertainty, but the two-time world champions are stronger on paper.

“There is no doubt about that,” Rajkumar Sharma aid to ANI. “There is no competition as India is a far superior team as compared to Pakistan. Although cricket is a game of uncertainty, on paper India is a far superior team,” he added.

Speaking about his favourite ward, Rajkumar Sharma said that Virat Kohli has set his eyes on the illustrious trophy since the last two years. He also added that the India skipper seems dedicated to bringing home the cup.

“Virat is very focused regarding World Cup. If you listen to his interviews from the past two years, since then he has been dreaming about the World Cup like how he is going to play in the World Cup and what should be the strategy. So, he is very devoted and dedicated to making India win the World Cup,” Rajkumar concluded.
