We are less than 24 hours away from Pakistan vs Australia clash which is slated to commence on June 11 (Wednesday) at the County Ground in Taunton. It’s expecting to be an exciting encounter where unpredictability would meet the resolute Australians. Ahead of the match prediction, there’s plenty to be discussed.
Both teams will wrestle against each other in the 17th match of the quadrennial event. The Kangaroos will aim to see their openers consolidating the innings at the brisk pace. Whereas, Sarfraz Ahmed-led side will be keen to continue where they left off against ICC’s No.1 ranked ODI team England.
Practically, in one way or another, both teams are known for giving a tough time to each other. Pakistan have had witnessed their openers in the form of Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq doing a bulk of the job for their team. But of late, the opening pair has witnessed some tough moments on the field.
Australia had begun their campaign with two victories before facing heat from India.
However, Australians are in a better position with two wins in three games. Their only loss came against India at The Oval on Sunday (June 09) when the Men in Blue won the game by 36 runs.
The battle of gameplan:
On the other side, Pakistan lost their first game miserably against the Windies before stunning the Three Lions.
Furthermore, Pakistan side has crumbled against the Windies in their World Cup opener before putting up a remarkable show against favourites England at the Trent Bridge in Southampton on June 3.
Unfortunately, their third game against Sri Lanka ended up without a ball being bowled due to the inclement weather.
Meanwhile, Australia had made some amends following a slow start against India. The high-quality side would be keen to see their pacers coming good in the much-awaited fixture.

Considering the pattern of late, Australia has been consistent in day-long cricket.
However, when it comes to Pakistan, they have struggled to put up a consistent show.
With Australia failing to cross over the line against in-form India, they are looking forward to deliver according to a plan against Pakistan.
Well, Pakistan team has found some luck when their pacers delivered against England. All in all, it’s a good sign for Pakistan before taking on far better Australia. Over the years, Pakistan’s strength has been their bowling department, and now with bowlers finding some rhythm, they’re equally capable of challenging Australia’s strong batting line-up.
Also, Pakistan has shown complete trust in an exciting top-order batsman, Babar Azam.
Besides, following a miserable show against India, Australian speedster Mitchell Starc would be ready to make his presence felt in the playing XI.
Australia will begin as the favourites in the much-awaited clash against Pakistan. The Kangaroos will be aiming to produce an outstanding result against unpredictable Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Pakistan will be desperate to take revenge from Australia after 5-0 rout in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
We could expect a score of 290-plus on a County Ground, Taunton, for the team batting first. However, Australia is highly-likely going to win the contest comprehensively.
