ICC World Cup 2019: Shikhar Dhawan Posts An Emotional Message After Getting Ruled Out

India’s southpaw batsman Shikhar Dhawan came up with an emotional message after getting ruled out from the entire ICC World Cup 2019. Dhawan took to his Twitter account to share his message. The left-hander said that he is disappointed to miss out on action but the show must go on.

Dhawan also gave his gratitude to all the fans for standing behind him in a tough time. The left-hander said that he appreciated all the love of the fans. However, he added that unfortunately his thumb will not be recovering on time and he really wanted to play the World Cup and represent India.

Dhawan added that it is now time for him to move and get the required things done. The left-hander said that he is sure that the boys are doing a good job at the moment and they are going to win the World Cup. Furthermore, Dhawan asked his fans to keep praying for the Indian team as the prayers are going to be important for the side.

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan was hit on the hand by Pat Cummins in the second match of the World Cup against Australia. Dhawan had scored a match-winning knock of 117 runs from 109 balls. In fact, it was expected that Dhawan would be fit within three weeks however it wasn’t to be.

Dhawan loss is a big blow for the team as the southpaw is a big match player. The left-hander has had a great record in the major ICC tournaments and he is going to be miss. Rishabh Pant has been named as the replacement for Dhawan.
