The future of MS Dhoni in the game of cricket is one of the most debated topics of this year, as MS Dhoni took sabbatical leave for a few months now. Speaking of the same, the BCCI President Sourav Ganguly on Saturday said MS Dhoni has “surely” communicated his plans to India captain Virat Kohli and the Indian selection Panel.
Speculations are on an all-time high about MS Dhoni’s future in international cricket. The wicketkeeper-batsman has not played for India since the 2019 World Cup semi-final and is expected to be back only during the Indian Premier League in 2020. As per the reports, it was learnt that MS Dhoni’s participation in ICC T20I World Cup 2020 would be based on his performances in the IPL.
MS Dhoni is an absolute champion – Sourav Ganguly
Sourav Ganguly stated that it would be tough to replace a player like MS Dhoni, who did a lot to the Indian Cricket. He further added that Dhoni would have passed on the information to the skipper Virat Kohli and the selection committee regarding his availability for the selection.

He called MS Dhoni as an absolute champion of the game and wants himself to decide about his future. And also, Sourav Ganguly revealed that he will have a meeting with Virat Kohli and the head coach Ravi Shastri regarding the failure of the team in ICC events.
“He’s had communication with the captain, I am sure he has had communication with the selectors, and I don’t think this is the platform to discuss it. It’s his decision what he wants to do, but I don’t know. I haven’t spoken to him, but he’s a champion, he’s been an absolute champion in Indian cricket,” Ganguly said.
“You won’t get another Dhoni very, very soon, but what he does – whether he wants to play, whether he doesn’t want to play, is up to him. This is one thing which needs to be addressed, and at some stage, I will speak to Virat and Ravi,” Ganguly said during a program on TV channel India Today.
