In the age of social media, nothing gets to hide; even the smallest of happening on a cricketing field gets recorded. Meanwhile, the India captain, Virat Kohli didn’t acknowledge the presence of Rohit Sharma in one of those instances during the Vizag T20I. It was during the Australia innings when Kohli ignored Rohit, as he was giving instructions to Bumrah on the fielding setting. India though lost the match by three wickets in a thriller.
What actually happened?
India didn’t collect too many runs on the board to defend during Vizag T20I. In 20 overs all they hit was 126 for seven with KL Rahul scoring 50 runs. While chasing, India might have begun well by picking two early wickets, a partnership between Glenn Maxwell and D’Arcy Short drift the game away from them later on. For the hosts, Jasprit Bumrah was the only silver lining – picking up three wickets for 16 runs in four overs.

Meanwhile, in the penultimate over of the match, Bumrah changed the complexion of the game. As the Aussies need a mere 16 off two overs, Bumrah conceded two runs and picked as many wickets as well.
But, there was something unusual which happened during the over. As Bumrah and Rohit Sharma were standing and discussing, the India captain ran towards the pacer; guided him over a possible field change and returned to his fielding position.
Not only this, but Virat Kohli also didn’t acknowledge Rohit Sharma’s presence – completely ignoring him. Later, the expressions on Rohit’s face told the entire story. Well, he felt neglected, to say the least!
