The right-hander had played for the Rising Pune Supergiant in the 2017 edition of the IPL. In fact, he was instrumental in getting his team to the final of the tournament. However, the Pune franchise went on to lose in the finals.

On the other hand, Manoj Tiwary had played a handful of matches for the Indian team. He represented India in the 12 One-Dayers and three T20Is. The right-hander has scored 287 runs at an average of 23.92. He batted in only one inning in the shortest format in which he scored 15 runs.

Thus, due to his lack of consistency at the International level, he wasn’t able to cement his place in the Indian squad. However, the Bengal player has played 98 IPL matches while representing different franchises in the tournament.
