The under-19 Indian National Cricket Team has successfully managed to seal a victory in the low-scoring affair on Saturday to lift the Asia Cup by beating Bangladesh. The final match saw the bowlers from either side ruling the roost. Atharva Ankolekar was the star for India, who bagged a 5-wicket haul.
Initially, it was Dhruv Juvel of India, who won the toss, elected to bat first in the final. However, they didn’t get the ideal start, as Bangladesh new ball bowlers made breathing tough for the batsmen. The openers Suved Parker, Arjun Azad and the number 3 batsman Tilak Varma walked back for cheap scores to their name thus making scorecard read 8/3 on the board.

However, the skipper Dhruv Juvel and the number 5 batsman Shashwat Rawat stood firm in the middle to avoid further hiccups for the team. Just when things looked settled in the middle for India, Shamim Hossain of Bangladesh delivered a brilliant spell to rattled both the set batsmen in the middle.
Certainly, Bangladesh were on top of the game and were cruising in. Then came the blistering knock from Karan Lal in the end, which pushed India to a respectable tally of 106 runs on the board. Though it was a low total, considering the conditions, the 37-run knock of Karan Lal proved vital in the end.
In reply to the chase, the Indian fast bowlers gave a fantastic start, as they rattled Bangladesh to 16/4 in the powerplay overs. Akash Singh was the wrecker-in-chief, who made things look easy for India. Then it was the show from Atharva Anolekar, who rattled through the middle-order of Bangladesh.
