Despite missing out the last game, the off-spinner Nathan Lyon made an impact right in his return game at Nagpur. The classy spinner got rid of Ambati Rayudu, who was trying to settle the innings alongside Virat Kohli after the initial hiccups. The wicket helped Australia to sit on the driver seat firmly.

It was in the 17th over of the game, which was also the first over in the match for Nathan Lyon. He was already smashed to a boundary by the Indian skipper Virat Kohli in the third ball, which pushed him to come from around the wicket. As a blessing in disguise, it worked like a magic for Nathan Lyon.

Consecutive failures for Ambati Rayudu

Ambati Rayudu, who tried to guide Lyon to off-side and bag a single, only manage to connect with thin air, as the ball sneaked past the bat to hit him right in front of the wickets. Though it looked not out to the naked eye, the umpire made a right solid judgement to lift his finger up thus indicating out.

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli and the batsman-in-question Ambati Rayudu quickly went for a review. Unfortunately, it didn’t give any positive result for India, as three reds were shown on the replies. Apart from the wicket, Indian National Cricket Team also lost a review in addition.

Coming to the match, initially, it was once again Australia, who won the toss and asked the home side to bat first. The vice-captain Rohit Sharma failed to come good for the team, as he walked back without a run to his name. On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan looked quiet fluent in his batting approach.

But, out of nowhere, Glenn Maxwell was introduced to the bowling section, who sent back Shikhar Dhawan back to the hut. It left India in the deep sort of troubles, however, Virat Kohli found his Midas Touch, who is on his way to score another big knock for the team.
