India vs Bangladesh 2019: 2nd Test, Eden Gardens – Match Preview, Pitch Report, Weather Forecast, Predicted XI & Match Prediction; Well, the wait is finally over, as we are just a few hours away from the start of something special. A new page set to be added to the illustrious book of Indian Cricket with Virat Kohli-led side locking horns with Bangladesh in the first-ever Pink Ball Test on Indian Soil. The iconic venue Eden Gardens will be hosting the game under the supervision of BCCI President Sourav Ganguly.

The Indian National Cricket Team had intense training sessions under the light in order to come good at Eden Gardens against Bangladesh. On paper, they look pretty solid with all the players delivering goods on a regular basis. Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal have been impressive at the top while Cheteshwar Pujara is delivering under pressure for the team.

Surprisingly, Virat Kohli hasn’t been that consistent but he has been impressive as the leader of the pack. Then comes Ajinkya Rahane, who looks rock-solid in the middle while Ravindra Jadeja has become a regular contributor for the team.

On the other hand, Bangladesh have got a lot to ponder about. The visitors were bulldozed by an innings and 130 runs in the opening Test at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Mominul Haque and Co will have to perform much better in the upcoming match if they wish to salvage something out of the tour. The performances of Mushfiqur Rahim and Abu Jayed were the only bright spots for them.

Imrul Kayes and Shadman Islam will open the innings for the visitors. The skipper Mominul Haque will back them up at number 3. There would be a change to their 4-bowler theory, as Indian batsman played them with ease at Holkar Stadium, Indore.

Changes:

India might bring Kuldeep Yadav in place of Ravichandran Ashwin, as the Chinaman got 11 wickets when he played with Pink ball in Duleep Trophy. For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman might be back in the mix alongside Mosaddek Hossain.

India vs Bangladesh 2019: 2nd Test – Match Preview

Date and Venue: November 22nd 2019 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Time:  13:00 PM IST

Pitch Report:

It is expected that the surface will have a covering of grass so that the ball retains its shape and shine for a longer period of time. Hence, it will also assist the seam bowlers a lot, especially under the lights. And also, spinners will play a role to make things fall in place. Batsman will have troubles to face during the course of the play.

Weather forecast:

It is going to make a massive impact on the game. Well, it’s not about the rain but it is all about the dew factor. If it comes into play, it is going to be hard for the bowlers to get their line and lengths right. There are no chances of rain. It is expected to stay clear through the course of the entire Test match. You might see players fielding with sweaters on.

Match Prediction:

The Indian National Cricket Team will clearly head into the game as favourites to win the game. They are displaying brilliant cricketing skills in the recent past and are looking rock-solid in the middle. The visitors’ poor show in the first match was indicative of the gulf between the two sides in terms of quality and experience.
