New Zealand Cricket team bounced back after the first three losses banking on a superb bowling effort to bowl out Indian National Cricket team for 92 runs at Hamilton before chasing the target with ease.

Meanwhile, Martin Guptill provided the hosts with a brilliant start, but Bhuvneshwar Kumar bounced back soon. The openers kicked off with a six and followed it by two boundaries before Hardik Pandya caught from the bowling of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. However, the hosts banked on the momentum as revamped opener Henry Nicholls and skipper Kane Williamson looked in good touch.

The boundaries kept on coming from both ends as New Zealand was cruising off to the target. However, against the run of play, Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck against this time to remove Williamson. Williamson edged one to Dinesh Karthik after hitting two fours for his 11 runs knock. But Nicholls added 54 runs to chase down the target within 15 overs.

Boult picks a five-wicket haul

Previously, Trent Boult inspired the hosts to bowl out Indian National Cricket team for a paltry score of 92 runs. After a steady start by Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharam, who were put to bat first, Boult provided the first breakthrough dismissing Dhawan in the sixth over. He continued to cause damage as he removed stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma soon to have India 23 for two in the eighth over. Colin de Grandhomme then joined the party to remove Ambati Rayudu and Dinesh Karthik both for a duck within a span of five deliveries.

Debutant Shubman Gill tried to stand tall, but Boult was in no mood to stop. The left-arm pacer dismissed Gill and Kedar Jadhav in two consecutive deliveries to stand on the verge of a hattrick, but Pandya saw it off. The all-rounder tried to counter-attack hitting four boundaries but finally holed out to Tom Latham.

It could have been over much earlier, but Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav defied the hosts brilliantly for a while. Boult was superb with his five-for, and Chahal finished on 18, the top score in the innings. He along with Kuldeep added 25 runs to help India post 92 runs before Jimmy Neesham cleaned off the tail.

With a staggering, the Indian National Cricket team will now aim to bounce back in the last ODI and take the momentum to the T20I series to follow.
