Of late, the Indian National Cricket Team has been scintillating on the field by showing their skills in all sections of the game. They have been brilliant with the bat and ball and also delivering the outstanding efforts with their fielding. Meanwhile, the substitute Mohammed Siraj pulls out a stunning catch to dismiss Colin de Grandhomme.

It was in the 18th over of the game when New Zealand batsmen are throwing their kitchen sink on every delivery. In one of those, Colin de Grandhomme whacked a full toss from Hardik Pandya into the air, which didn’t get enough elevation to cross the boundary ropes.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj, who is guarding the fence at deep square-leg judge the catch to perfection to send Colin de Grandhomme back to the hut. It was the third decent outfield catch in the match after Dinesh Karthik’s stunner and Vijay Shankar‘s effort earlier in the game.

New Zealand posted 219 runs on the board:

Coming to the first innings, initially, India won the toss and asked the home side to bat first. Accepting the task, Kiwis batsmen went berserk against Indian bowlers by smashing boundaries more often than not. They took every bowler to the cleaners to progress towards a massive score on the board.

Tim Seifert, the wicketkeeper was the wrecker-in-chief, who showed his brilliant batting skills. He smashed a stunning 84 off 43 balls to hand a great start for the hosts. Then it was all the other batsmen, who just whacked the delivery whenever the loss ball is on offer.

For India, Hardik Pandya was smashed to 51 runs while Bhuvneshwar Kumar also gave 47 runs in his 4-over spell. Khaleel Ahmed also leaked 48 runs to his name.

For Kiwis, apart from Seifert, Colin Munro and Kane Williamson got the identical scores of 34 runs. Ross Taylor was the other batsman, who gave the much-needed boost at the end of the innings.
